OPERATIONAL RESEARCH

Our Operational Research Division explores ways to optimize Warfighter brain health in operational environments (e.g., training or deployed settings). This Division is subdivided into two types of research initiatives:

• Effects of Blast Overpressure  
• Prolonged Field Care on the Battlefield

Both research initiatives aim to provide evidence-based solutions for brain health concerns in the field, such as blast exposures and hemorrhages. These efforts are overseen and conducted by retired military personnel who are well-versed on the uniqueness of brain injuries that occur in operational environments.
